Tortang Talong Recipe. Learn how to make Tortang Talong with this Filipino recipe. Tortang Talong is a simple dish made up of whole eggplants topped with sauteed ground beef. You will end up asking yourself why you don’t eat nearly enough eggplants.

Tortang Talong Recipe Video:

Tortang Talong Recipe Ingredients:
* 2 tbsp Oil
* 1/4 kg (250 g) ground pork
* 1 pc potato, diced
* 1 pc carrot, chopped
* 1 box seedless raisins
* 1 pouch Mama Sita’s Pang-Gisa (Sauté) Mix
* 4 tbsp All-purpose flour
* 5 pcs medium-sized eggplants
* 3 pcs medium-sized eggs, beaten

Tortang Talong Cooking Instructions:
* Grill eggplants, peel off burnt skin and set aside.
* Heat oil in a wok and sauté the ground pork until it is brown in color.
* Add the potatoes, carrots and raisins. Cook until the vegetables are tender.
* Then add Mama Sita’s Pang-Gisa Sauté Mix
* Remove from heat and transfer to a bowl and set aside to cool.
* Divide the eggs into two, pour hald of the beaten eggs into the meat mixture, and mix well.
* Dip the egglplants in the remaining beaten eggs.
* Place the meat mixture of each eggplant.
* Slide each eggplant gently intp the pan with hot oil.
* Pan-fry until golden brown on each side.
* Serve hot with Mama Sita’s sweet chili sauce or Mama Sita’s sweet and sour sauce.
